This 11-minute clip is of my comments at a symposium on the subject “The Meaning and Purpose of Israel as a Jewish State,” hosted by the Avi Schaefer Fund in Jerusalem on Sunday, February 17, 2013. The Israeli novelist A. B. Yehoshua spoke before me and presented his familiar view that Judaism (and therefore Zionism) has no specific content beyond identifying as a Jew and moving to Israel.
